Mio is an interdisciplinary art practitioner, occupied by materiales, creatures, narratives and space. The work derives from a pre-architectural sensing and thinking. Small and big, hard and soft – working with different scales and materiales. From hand hold objects to larger architectonic work that can fill the entire vision.
She is drawn to silver, light and darkness (and that is in-between; the translucent, white, shiny, grayish, matte, rough and black). Shades that (in her) provide abstraction, space and calmness for continuous interpretation, and contain a sensitivity that she likes and strives for.
Mio works solo, in duo with Nikolai Lieblein Røsæg (MIKO SOLO) and collaborates with other professional artist from various fields to create performative art projects.
From 2022 she receives 3 year of working grant for younger / newly established artists from the Arts Council Norway.
